Dongfeng Township
It takes about an hour for Yanling County to get on the expressway by minibus, and it takes Sanhe Town and Luyuan town to get to Dongfeng Township. The countryside is surrounded by green hills, mainly mountains and basins. Rivers pass through the countryside, and residential houses are distributed in belts and sporadically.
There are basically no township enterprises here. The main agricultural crops in the township are rice, tea tree and rape. Because tea plants are widely planted, it is also rich in tea oil. Besides rice, tea oil, melons, fruits and vegetables, the main income of residents is from working outside. Like most villages and towns in China, most of the young workers here go out to work. With the changes and development of the times, most of the villagers now live in new red brick houses, far away from the prosperity of the city, and the villagers have a simple and comfortable life. On July 1, 2014, Yanling railway station of Ji Heng railway was completed and opened to traffic, ending the history of no train in Yanling County. It takes only 23.5 yuan and 2 hours to take the train from Yanling railway station to Hengyang, 151 kilometers west.
