Zhenjin town is under the jurisdiction of Jianyang City, Chengdu, with a low hilly terrain. It is 35km west of Jianyang City, 44km away from Yanjiang District, Ziyang City, 39km away from Renshou County, Meishan City, 22km away from Sancha lake, East High Tech District, Chengdu, only 15km away from the core area of Tianfu International Airport under construction, and about 90.6km away from the center of Chengdu (Tianfu Square). The town has a high-quality rice production base, with more than 1000 mu of fruit production base. Zhenjin rice is famous all over the country. It is an important grain, oil and fruit base in Jianyang area and a labor export place in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Chengdu to adjust the administrative divisions of 15 counties (cities, districts) including Longquanyi District (cfzm [2019] No. 24): Laolong township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Zhenjin Town, and Zhenjin people's government was stationed at No. 38, Jinqiao new street.

Since 2008, around the construction of four distribution bases, the town has adhered to the development idea of "introducing owners and building bases", promoted 13000 mu of spring corn, 12500 mu of high-quality rice and 150 mu of dry nursery. The phenomenon of "dirty, chaotic and poor" of towns has been greatly improved, the phenomenon of road occupation has been basically eliminated, and the appearance of towns has been significantly improved. We should mobilize all villages to carry out the renovation work of village appearance, strictly control the red line and appearance of houses, strengthen the "three reforms", build clean kitchens and sanitary toilets, implement the separation of human and livestock, build pig and goat homes, and effectively create a beautiful and comfortable living environment.

Since 2008, the town has taken the development of industrial economy as the key work and vigorously developed industrial economy. The service and support for existing enterprises have been strengthened. Jinqiao heat stabilizer plant and other enterprises under its jurisdiction are in good condition, especially Jinqiao heat stabilizer plant. In the first half of the year, its output value and benefit have increased by more than 50% over the same period. According to the idea of "government guidance, vocational schools and intermediary training output", the town focuses on solving the problem of "two low" labor export, strengthens the guidance of rural labor export, entrusts vocational schools and intermediary agencies to carry out centralized skills training for migrant workers, improves the ability of migrant workers to cope with market changes and adapt to market demand. In the first half of the year alone, more than 250 migrant workers were orderly exported by organizing migrant workers to participate in enterprise recruitment fairs in shiliba Industrial Park of Jianyang City. The number of labor export in the town has reached 9850.
