Yongping Town, subordinate to Dianjiang County, Chongqing, is located in the south of Dianjiang County. It is adjacent to Peixing town and Gangjia town in the East, Pingshan Town in the south, Yantai town in the west, Gangjia town and Gaofeng town in the north. It is 23 kilometers away from Dianjiang County Government, with a total area of 38.03 square kilometers.
In the spring and Autumn period, Yongping town belonged to the state of Ba; in July 2007, Yongping town was changed from Yongping township to Yongping town. By the end of 2018, the population of Yongping town registered residence was 18871. As of June 2020, Yongping town has one community and six administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The people's Government of Yongping town is located at 195 Yongping street, qiuqiao community.

History of construction
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of Ba.
Qin and Han Dynasties, belong to Bajun.
In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Fuzhou.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was named Yonganchang, belonging to BaiShiLi, Fuzhou; in the 34th year of Guangxu (1908), it belonged to the North District of Fuzhou; in the second year of Xuantong (1910), it belonged to the fourth district.
In 1931, Yongan Township was set up and Yongan field was stationed, belonging to the Fifth District of Fuling county. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it was renamed Yongping Township, and its residence was renamed yongpingchang, belonging to the Fourth District of Fuling county.
In March 1953, Yongping township was assigned to Dianjiang County and renamed qiuqiao township.
In September 1956, qiuqiao township was renamed Yongping township.
In June 1958, Yongping township was changed into Yongping commune.
In March 1983, Yongping commune was changed into Yongping township.
In July 2007, Yongping township was changed to Yongping town.
