geographical environment
Location context

geological conditions
Longquan sub district is located in Jingshan mountain, which extends from Daba east to Baokang and Nanzhang. The Shanwen line turns from east to west to northwest to Southeast, and meanders to form Jingshan vein. It is located on a group of NNW trending fault trunk developed in Paleozoic. It belongs to the Yangtze stratigraphic area and is the junction zone of Huangling district and Yicheng District in the northwest of Jianghan Plain. The strata are well developed and the surface soil is fertile.
topographic features
Longquan street is located in the west of Jianghan Plain, at the southeast foot of Jingshan mountain range, with gentle terrain. It borders dongbaoshan in the East, Huyaguan in the South and Xiangshan in the West. The landform is eroded and cut hills, most of which are composed of purple sandstone. The mountain peaks are 100-200 meters above sea level, with a relative height of about 100 meters and a slope of 5-20 degrees. They are mainly composed of Permian and Triassic limestone, forming low mountains, hills or hills with gentle undulation separated by depressions and gullies. Because of natural weathering, most of the hills and slopes are forest wasteland.
climate
Longquan street is located in the mid latitude north subtropical monsoon climate zone, with four distinct seasons, sufficient sunshine, abundant rainfall and long frost free period, which is characterized by wet spring, hot summer, cool autumn and cold winter. In spring, the low pressure is frequent, with low temperature and cloudy rain; in summer, the rainfall is relatively concentrated due to the changeable monsoon activity, which is prone to flood and drought; in autumn, the northern pressure is responsible for the high and cool air in autumn; in winter, there are more winter winds, with more severe cold and less rain. the annual variation of temperature is unimodal, with an annual average temperature of 15.9 ℃; the average temperature in January is 1.4 ℃ - 3.8 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 14 ℃ (January 30, 1997); the average temperature in July is 25.2 ℃ - 28.4 ℃, and the extreme high temperature is 40.0 ℃ (August 23, 1959). The annual average precipitation is 965mm, which is mainly concentrated in summer, accounting for 46.1% of the total annual precipitation, and 26.5% and 21.7% respectively in spring and autumn. The average annual relative humidity is 74%; in summer, affected by the warm and humid air flow in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the humidity can reach 80%. The annual average evaporation is 1581 mm, the maximum is 1912.5 mm in 1986, and the minimum is 1382.2 mm in 1989. The average annual ground temperature is 17.9 ℃, the lowest in January and the highest in August. The annual average wind speed is 3.5 m / S; the annual change is not big, with north wind dominating, northwest wind prevailing in spring and autumn and winter, and north wind dominating in summer, followed by south wind. The annual frost free period is 246-255 days. The average annual fog days are 17.4 days, most of which are radiation fog, and they are easy to appear in the morning when there is no wind or breeze in winter and spring; the radiation in more than one month of the year presents a unimodal distribution, with the largest radiation in July, the strongest in summer and the weakest in winter. The sunshine hours are the most in August and the least in February.
hydrology
The main river in Longquan street is Zhupi River (called Quanshui in ancient times). There are two branches at the source of Zhupi river. The North Branch comes from the eastern foot of the Holy Land in the northwest suburb of Jingmen City, and the West Branch comes from the foot of Luohan mountain in the west suburb of Jingmen City. The total length of Zhupi river is about 49 kilometers, with a drainage area of 437 square kilometers. The normal flow is 1.2 m3 / s, and the maximum peak flow is 435.1 m3 / s. Zhupi river is the main drainage channel in Jingmen City. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the rain water flowed into jinxiahe River along the open and hidden channels on both sides of Shizi street, and then out of the city and into Zhupi River on the west side of Beimen; the south, Southeast and southwest streets of Shizi street first flowed into the general sewer on the north side of dananmen, and then into Zhupi River; Tuanjie street, Nantai street and Tumen Street flowed along the street The gullies on both sides of the road flow into the river first and then into the Zhupi river. Since the 1970s and 1980s, the Zhupi river has been treated for many times, and new dams and sluice gates have been built. In the eastern foot of Xiangshan Mountain, there are four springs, Longquan, Mengquan, Huiquan and Shunquan. The spring water is karst cave water in hilly area, which belongs to descending spring. It is mainly supplied by atmospheric precipitation. The water quantity changes with seasons, and there is a big difference between dry season and wet season. The water from the four springs flows into Wenming lake. Wenming lake is 50 meters wide, 200 meters long and 3 meters deep, covering an area of 10000 square meters. In the south of the street, at the junction of the north and south urban areas, and between Xiangshan Avenue and Baiyun Avenue, there is Swan Lake, which was originally Huyaguan reservoir and was transformed into a park in 2007, with a water surface area of 6.64 hectares.
natural resources
water resource
The water quality of Longquan, Mengquan, Huiquan and Shunquan in Longquan street is excellent, which meets the drinking water standard and has always been the main water source in the urban area. In 1969, Longquan waterworks was set up beside Longquan, with Longquan, Huiquan and Mengquan as water sources, supplying 3000 tons of water per day. In 1974, Longquan water plant was transformed into the first water plant, with a daily water supply of 15000 tons. According to the actual measurement on March 19, 1982, the spring discharge was 9362 T / D; on August 20, 1982, the measured discharge after the rainstorm was 41079 T / D, with a difference of 4.39 times. The water quantity of the four springs is small, which can not meet the water demand of the urban area. In 1997, the daily water supply capacity of the first waterworks was increased to 50000 tons. After 1999, No. 1 water plant was changed into a standby water plant for peak summer and peak shaving.
mineral resources
Longquan Street has coal, limestone, mineral water and other natural resources, including 1 coal mining point (construction), 2 limestone mining points (construction, Xiangshan). Jingmen cement plant limestone deposit is located in the area of tianhechi in Jingmen City. It belongs to marine deposit and occurs in the Daye Formation of Lower Triassic.
