Yancuo town (formerly belonging to Longxi County of Zhangzhou prefecture) is located in the south of Zhangzhou city on the southeast coast of the motherland. It is an important part of the central city of Zhangzhou city. Its administrative division is under the jurisdiction of Longhai District, Zhangzhou high tech Industrial Development Zone. Historical evolution
In the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Minzhong County; in the first year of Yuanfeng (110 BC) of Han Dynasty, it belonged to Kuaiji County; in the early years of Jian'an, it belonged to Houguan County; in the Three Kingdoms, it belonged to Dongan County; in the third year of Taikang (282 BC), it belonged to Jin'an county. In 540, the sixth year of emperor Liangwu of the Southern Dynasty, Longxi County was set up, which was subordinate to Nan'an county and belonged to Longxi County. On February 3, 2021, Longhai City at the county level was abolished and Longhai District of Zhangzhou city was established. Yancuo town is under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou high tech Industrial Development Zone and its administrative division is Longhai District of Zhangzhou city.
