Xianyuwan Town, belonging to Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Wafangdian City, adjacent to Fuzhou town in the East, Santai Manchu Township in the south, Bohai Bay in the west, Hongyanhe town and Tuoshan Township in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 15.5 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 8.6 kilometers, with a total area of 82.46 square kilometers. Xianyuwan town is named after the legend that nine fairies went to the bay to have a bath. In 1956, it belonged to niangnianggong District of Fuxian county. In March 1958, it belonged to Shengli Township, Fuxian county. In November, it belongs to Niangniang palace commune. In May 1961, Shengli commune was established. In July 1983, Shengli township was changed. In July 1998, it was changed into xianyuwan Town, belonging to Wafangdian City. As of June 2020, xianyuwan town has five villagers' committees.

Historical evolution
In 1956, it belonged to niangnianggong District of Fuxian county.
In March 1958, it belonged to Shengli Township, Fuxian county. In November, it belongs to Niangniang palace commune.
In May 1961, Shengli commune was established.
In July 1983, Shengli township was changed.
In July 1998, it was changed into xianyuwan Town, belonging to Wafangdian City.
