Shuangshan town
Shuangshan Town, subordinate to Tongliang District of Chongqing, is located at the west end of Tongliang District, at the junction of Tongliang, Tongnan and Dazu districts and counties. It is connected with Pingtan town in the East, Xiaolin town in the south, Baoding town and Wugui town in Dazu District in the west, and Wofo town in Tongnan District in the north. It is 24 kilometers away from the people's Government of Tongliang District, with a total area of 33.83 square kilometers.
In the fourth year of Chang'an of Tang Dynasty (704), shuanghechang was set up in Shuangshan town; in November 2010, Shuangshan town was changed into Shuangshan town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Shuang Shan town was 12200. As of June 2020, Shuangshan town has one community and seven administrative villages, and the people's Government of Shuangshan town is located at No. 15 Shuangxing road.

History of construction
In the fourth year of Chang'an of Tang Dynasty (704), shuanghechang was set up in Shuangshan Town, Tongliang County.
In 1919, it was built as Shuanghe township.
In July 1953, it was divided into two townships, Shuanghe and Xiaolin.
In July 1958, Shuanghe township was transformed into Shuanghe commune.
In July 1983, Shuanghe commune was changed into Shuanghe township.
In December 1984, Shuanghe township was renamed Shuangshan township.
In November 2010, Shuangshan township was changed into Shuangshan town.

By the end of 2011, Shuangshan town had one community in Shuanghe, seven administrative villages in Shuangquan, Shouqiao, Yanwan, Dali, Qunfang, Yuxing and Jianxin, three resident groups and 88 villager groups.
