Pingxiang Town, subordinate to Pingxiang City, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Pingxiang City, adjacent to Xiashi town in the East, Shangshi town in the south, Youyi town in the southwest and Longzhou County in the north. The administrative area of Pingxiang town is 66.02 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Pingxiang town was 48876.

In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1368), Pingxiang cave moved to the present Pingxiang middle school. In 1654, Pingxiang Zhili Prefecture was transformed into Pingxiang tuzhou, which was attached to Taiping Prefecture. In July 1955, Pingxiang town at the county level was established, with the first district of Ningming County as its administrative region, Zhili Guixi Tongzu autonomous region. In 1990, Baiyun township was set up from friendship town. In August 1996, the streets of Pingxiang City were abolished and the township level Pingxiang town was established. As of June 2020, Pingxiang town has jurisdiction over 5 communities and 5 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in zhuyatun.
