Shahe Town

Shahe Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Changping District, Beijing, is located in the south of Changping District, between 116 ° 13'19 ″ ~ 116 ° 21'27 ″ E and 40 ° 05'24 ″ ~ 40 ° 10'34 ″ n. It borders Baishan town and Qijia town in the East, Dongxiaokou town and Huilongguan street in the south, Yangfang town in the west, and Nanshao town and machikou town in the north. In February 1949, Shahe area belonged to Changshun county. In April 1949, it belonged to the Second District of Changping County. In August 1958, it belonged to the red flag commune. In November 1958, Shahe township was transformed into Shahe work station, belonging to Xiaotangshan commune. In November 1959, Shahe Sino Vietnamese friendship commune was established, and Shahe Town management area was established. In June 1961, Shahe Sino Vietnamese friendship commune was abolished and Shahe commune was established. In July 1981, Shahe commune was transformed into a township. In January 1987, Shahe township was merged into Shahe Town. In June 1990, Shahe Town was divided into Shahe Town and Gonghua town. In October 1993, the rural areas under the jurisdiction of Gonghua town were merged into Shahe Town. In December 1997, Shahe Town and Gonghua town were merged into Shahe Town. In October 1999, qiliqu township was incorporated. In December 1999, Changping County was transformed into a district. On November 28, 2007, Shahe District Office was established, and Shahe Town was reserved. By the end of 2018, Shahe town had 52701 registered residence population. As of June 2020, Shahe Town has 21 communities and 22 administrative villages, and the town government is located in Baisha Road, Shahe Town, Changping District.
