Gaotai Town, subordinate to Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Suizhong County, facing Dazhai Manchu Township of Xingcheng city across Liugu River in the East, adjacent to Chengjiao Township and Shahe Town in the south, gaodianzi Manchu Township in the West and xipingpo Manchu Township in the north, with an administrative area of 113.31 square kilometers.
In 1931, gaotaibao village was established, which belongs to Suizhong County; in 2000, gaotaibao Manchu Township was abolished and Gaotai town was established. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 30670. As of June 2020, Gaotai town has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Gaotai town is located in Lianhuachi village.

History of construction
In 1931, gaotaibao village was established in Suizhong County.
In 1946, it belonged to gaotaibao township.
In 1948, it first belonged to the 11th district of gaotaibao and then to the 2nd District of Jintun.
In 1958, it belonged to Dongfeng commune in gaodianzi.
In 1961, gaotaibao commune was established.
In 1983, gaotaibao township was changed.
In 1984, it was renamed gaotaibao Manchu Township.
In 2000, gaotaibao Manchu Township was abolished and Gaotai town was established.

At the end of 2011, Gaotai town had jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages: yaoguchengzhai, Hujia, Erdaoling, Shuikou, maluling, Lianhuachi, heishuitai, niuyanzhang, WanChen, Sandaogou, Beizhao, Qianzhu and Wadian. There are 81 natural villages.
As of June 2020, Gaotai town has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages: Shuikou village, Wadian village, Erdaoling village, Hujia village, qianzhuling village, yaoguchengzhai village, Sandao village, niuyangou village, WanChen village, Beizhao village, heishuitai village, maluling village and Lianhuachi village. The town people's government is stationed in Lianhuachi village.

History and culture
In the seventh year of Ming Dynasty (1442), in order to strengthen the border defense, the fort was set up here and garrisoned to protect the city. Therefore, it is located in Gaogang, so it is called Gaotai fort, later referred to as Gaotai.
