Chaotian Township
Chaotian Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Lingchuan County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Lingchuan County, adjacent to Dajing Yao Township in the East, Yangshuo County in the south, Dawu town in the West and Haiyang Township in the north, 48 kilometers away from Lingchuan County and 23 kilometers away from Guilin City, with an administrative area of 226.83 square kilometers. During the reign of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1796-1820), the area under its jurisdiction was Dongxiang, Lingui county. In October 1984, it was renamed Chaotian township. By the end of 2019, Chaotian township has a total population of 28000, including Zhuang, Hui and other ethnic minorities; it has jurisdiction over one community and 10 administrative villages, and the township government is located at 58 Chaogui road.
In 2017, Chaotian township's financial revenue was 3.395 million yuan; the whole society's fixed asset investment was 88.15 million yuan; the total output value of large-scale industry was 33.24 million yuan; the total grain output was 156 thousand tons; the total fruit output was 54.2 thousand tons; 34000 pigs were sold; 4268 thousand poultry were sold. History of construction
During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1796-1820), the jurisdiction (including the present Dajing Yao nationality township and Haiyang Township, the same below) belonged to Dongxiang of Lingui County; at the end of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Dawu township of Lingui county.
In the early period of the Republic of China, the system of Qing Dynasty was followed; in 1933, nine districts were set up in Lingui County, which was called Chaotian District, with jurisdiction over six townships of Hengqing, Lingxi, Nanxi, Zuoxi, Youxi, Shihe, and Haiyang town; in 1940, five townships of Haiyang, Zuoxi, Hengqing, Lingxi, and Shihe were set up; in 1949, five townships were merged Chaotian District, the government is stationed in chaotianwei.
On November 22, 1949, Lingui county was liberated, and the area under its jurisdiction was still called Chaotian district.
In October 1950, the districts were arranged in numbers, and the jurisdiction was called seven districts. In December 1950, it was adjusted to twelve districts.
In August 1951, the ocean was set off from the tidal field, and the area was renamed the second area in October of the next year.
In June 1954, the second district governed 12 townships, including Chaotian, Maocun, Liucun, Dajing, Zhaidi, Shenjing, Wangtang, Nanwei, Xinzhai, Songjiang, Leyu and huangnijiang.
In November 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. The 12 townships under the jurisdiction were adjusted to Chaotian, Wangtang and huangnijiang townships.
From August to September 1958, the rural areas were adjusted. Wangtang Township and huangnijiang Township were abolished and merged into Chaotian township. Then Chaotian township was abolished and Chaotian people's commune was established.
In March 1959, the people's commune area was adjusted and divided into three people's communes: Chaotian, Wangtang and huangnijiang.
On March 27, 1962, the State Council announced the restoration of the organizational system of Lingchuan County, and Chaotian, Wangtang and huangnijiang people's communes were assigned to Lingchuan County; in August of 1962, the organizational system of the district was restored, and Chaotian, Wangtang and huangnijiang people's communes were abolished, and Chaotian District was established, with district organs stationed in chaotianwei.
In May 1966, the district was withdrawn and the people's commune system was restored. The district was renamed Chaotian people's commune. At the same time, two production brigades, Dajing and Xinzhai, separated from the administrative region of huangnijiang people's Commune and the former Chaotian people's commune, formed Dajing people's commune.
In October 1984, the people's commune system was abolished, and the area under its jurisdiction was renamed Chaotian township.
