Wufeng town
Wufeng Town, subordinate to Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Zhangwu County. It is connected with Xiliu in the East, Liangjiazi in the south, Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County in the west, Shuangmiao town and Zhangwu town in the north. The administrative area of the town is 191 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Xixiang and Nanxiang of Zhangwu County. After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was under the jurisdiction of the seventh and eighth districts. In 1956, when the township was designated, it belonged to Wufeng district. In 1958, Wufeng commune was established. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In December 1985, township was established. By the end of 2018, the population of five peaks had 20059 registered residence. As of June 2020, Wufeng town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Wufeng village.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Wufeng town was 7101 yuan. By the end of 2018, there were 5 industrial enterprises in Wufeng Town, including 2 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 40 supermarkets or comprehensive stores with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
