Historical evolution

Yongfeng, formerly known as baijiazhongpu, is also known as baizhongbu (there are 100 tombs here from Huaiyang county). In 1911, it was revised and renamed "Yongfeng", meaning a bumper harvest in Yongnian. In 1965, the people's commune of Yongfeng was established by the three communes of Fanji, Nandun and Dingji. It was changed to Yongfeng Township in 1983. In 2012, the township was removed to build a town, which is today's Yongfeng town.
