Beiyu Township, belonging to Ningjin County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Ningjin County, southwest to the boundary of Longyao County, adjacent to beihezhuang town in the north and Xujiahe Township in the northeast. It is 18 kilometers away from Ningjin County People's government, with a total area of 20.61 square kilometers.
In the early period of the Republic of China, Beiyu Township belonged to the Western District of Ningjin County; in January 1984, it was changed from Beiyu commune to Beiyu township. In May 1961, gengzhuangqiao (Funing) commune established Beiyu commune.
In January 1984, Beiyu commune was changed into Beiyu township.
