Jiulong township is a township under the jurisdiction of Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It is located in the east of Luquan County and has 18 village committees. It covers an area of 375.8 square kilometers and has a population of 45780.

Jiulong township of Luquan County borders ruandian town of XUNDIAN Hui Autonomous Region in the East, Cuihua Township in the south, Zhongping Township across the Pudu River in the west, zhuanlong and Wumeng townships in the north, 69 kilometers away from the county. The township government is located at an altitude of 2000 meters. It has jurisdiction over 18 village committees including Jiulong, shuzha, Madi, likuai, shayulang, Heping, Laojie, Hedong, Minquan, Gongde, Muke, Deshan, Wenlin educational camp, sabukai, sanshao, Jiuhua and Wanmin. The central part of the township is high and the surrounding is low. Shiniu mountain is located in the central part of the township and extends northward to form a conical shape. The main peak is 2892 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is Sanjiangkou, with an altitude of 1181 meters. Most of the eastern and Southern parts are above 2000 meters above sea level, with a cold climate. The West and North are along the Pudu River, with low altitude, high temperature, fertile land and good water conservancy conditions. They are the main grain producing areas in the township. The average annual temperature of the township is 14 ℃, and the average annual rainfall is 1058.9 mm. The total area of cultivated land in the township is 36435 mu, including 8580 mu of paddy field and 27855 mu of dry land. The total population of the township is 45780, of which the total agricultural population is 43216, and the total number of households is 10750, including 10544 agricultural households. Grain crops are mainly corn, rice, wheat and potato; economic crops are flue-cured tobacco, sugarcane and big white kidney bean; economic forest fruits are yellow fruit, orange, chestnut, walnut, peach, pear, etc. there are 6 main ditches in the township, with a total length of 75.8 km, including 17.7 km for Xiaoma street, 15 km for Hedong, 22.5 km for Yinchang, 8 km for Minquan, 6.6 km for Gongde and 6 km for Muke. Eleven reservoirs are distributed in Jiuhua (1), Jiulong (1), shuzha (2), shayulang (1), Hedong (1), Deshan (2), sabukai (1) and Gongde (2). There are 10 mobile base stations in the township, 2 Unicom base stations, 10 PHS base stations and 2 cordless telephone base stations.
