Shuanglong town
Shuanglong Town, subordinate to Wushan County, Chongqing City, is located in the north central part of Wushan County, adjacent to Jinping Township in the East, Wuxia town in the south, Fengjie County in the West and Dachang Town in the north. It is 30 kilometers away from the government of Wushan County, with a total area of 141.99 square kilometers.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the village was abandoned and named Shuanglong township; in April 1992, Shuanglong township was changed into Shuanglong town. By the end of 2018, the population of Shuanglong town registered residence was 33566. As of June 2020, the government of Shuanglong Village and the people's Government of Ninghe town have one administrative group.
The main food crops in Shuanglong town are corn and potato. In 2011, Shuanglong town produced 24000 tons of grain, 381kg per capita. The main economic crops in Shuanglong town are gold and silver; animal husbandry is mainly for raising pigs, sheep, poultry and Rex rabbits. History of construction
During the Qing Dynasty, Shuanglong town was divided into Longwu fort and longshuo fort.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the fort was abandoned and the township was built, named Shuanglong township.
In April 1953, when the township was established, Jinping, Longquan and Longfeng townships were added, all under the new eighth District of the county.
In March 1955, the eighth district was merged into the Second District, then the second district was renamed Dachang District, and Zitong Longquan was merged into Shuanglong Township, which was subordinate to Dachang District.
In April 1958, two townships of Longwu and Shuanglong merged to form Shuanglong commune.
In June 1960, Jinping commune was merged into Shuanglong commune.
In July 1961, Shuanglong district was established in Dachang District. Shuanglong commune was divided into three communes: Shuanglong commune, Jinping commune and Longwu commune.
In April 1984, Shuanglong commune was changed into Shuanglong township.
In April 1992, Shuanglong township was changed into Shuanglong town.
In March 2005, Longwu Township and Qian Township were merged into Shuanglong town.

In 2011, Shuanglong town has one community in Ninghe, 20 administrative villages including Gaoyang, Sanyang, Jinhua, Shuitian, Bawu, Xiawan, Tiane, Longwu, Wanjia, Heilong, Huazhu, Xing'an, Dongqiao, Longwang, Wulong, Bijia, Xingfeng, Baiping, Anping and Jingjing; 5 resident groups and 129 villager groups.
By June 2020, Shuanglong town has one community and 20 administrative villages: Ninghe community, Bawu village, Gaoyang village, Sanyang village, Jinhua village, Shuitian village, Xiawan village, Tiane village, Baiping village, Anping village, Bijia village, Wulong Village, Xingfeng village, Jingning village, Wanjia village, Longwang village, Heilong Village, Huazhu village, Dongqiao village, Longwu village and Xin'an village. The town people's government is stationed in Ninghe community Area 1.
