Bao Shu Street

Baoshu street is located in the southeast of Donghu New Technology Development Zone, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Baoshu street, covering an area of 88.63 square kilometers, has jurisdiction over four neighborhood committees, 23 administrative villages and one team directly under it, which is composed of 183 natural bays.

Historical evolution

Leopard Shu is also known as leopard Shu. According to the records of Jiangxia County in 1869, baoqiaosi is one of the six towns in Jiangxia county. At the end of baoqiaosi bridge, there is a stone like a leopard, which is also a branch of Liangzi Lake water system. When the water level is high, sailboats can go directly to the bridge, which connects baoqiaosi with Haitong. Baoqiao temple was demolished after liberation. It seems that there is no leopard stone. There is only leopard pattern on the rock under the bridge. Later, people referred to it as Bao Shu. Because there are many bridges around Baoshu, such as Majia bridge in the East, Shendeng bridge in the north, Xiaoqiao and Sanyan bridge in the west, and YeHu bridge in the south, local people often use the name of "Qiaoshang" instead of Baoshu, and it is still used today. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Dongxiang County had jurisdiction over xijingli; during the period of the Republic of China, the county was successively divided into 15 districts, 7 districts, 4 districts, and Minglian township; in June 1949, the Third District People's government had jurisdiction over Baoshu, tuozidian, wangjiadian, and Liusu; in 1951, it was changed into the seventh district with jurisdiction over 24 townships; in 1956, it was changed into Baoshu guidance group with jurisdiction over Lianlian, Qingtan, and Longquan townships; in 1958, Tongli people's commune was established In 1961, Baoshu district was restored, and three communes were under its jurisdiction; in 1971, Baoshu people's commune was established by dismantling the district and merging the commune; in 1983, it was renamed Baoshu township; in 1986, it was renamed Baoshu town. On June 20, 2011, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved the cancellation of Baoshu town in Jiangxia District of Wuhan city with the No. 44 Reply of the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on the cancellation of Baoshu town in Jiangxia District of Wuhan city. On July 11, the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau approved the establishment of Baoshu sub district office at No. 1, Qiaonan Road, and the establishment of three sub district offices at No. 81, Nanhu Avenue, No. 6, Liufang old street and No. 1, zhongwutian street, respectively.
