Bailong township is located in the northeast of the county, bordering Duyun City in the north, northeast and northwest, ganzhai Township and Kaluo Township in the south, Gudong Township in the West and miao'erhe Township in the East. The township governs 12 administrative villages, 96 villager groups, 66 natural villages and more than 3000 households. Jiaodong village, where the township government is located, is 13 kilometers away from the county. The total population of the township is 13.31 million. The average number of people per square kilometer is 90, which is 8 less than the average number of the whole county. In the total population, there are 12400 agricultural people, accounting for 94.02%, 11960 ethnic minorities, accounting for 90.87%, and five ethnic minorities, including Buyi and Miao. The population of Buyi Nationality is 10800, accounting for 81.94% of the total population, and that of Miao nationality is 1151, accounting for 8.7%.
Economics
The economy of the township is dominated by agriculture. The main agricultural products are rice, corn, rapeseed, flue-cured tobacco, sweet potato, pepper, soybean, peanut, green hemp, sorghum, etc.; the main forest products are tung oil seed, Camellia oleifera seed, gallnut, palm slice, dried bamboo shoot, wood, miscellaneous bamboo, etc. There are fish in aquatic products. Coal is the main mineral. The main projects of non-agricultural industry include coal mining, agricultural and sideline products processing, commercial operation, etc. the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in the township has reached 50.8749 million yuan (90 prices, the same below), including 37.7617 million yuan of agricultural output value, accounting for 74.22%; 3.32303 million yuan of forestry output value, accounting for 6.35%; 9.8436 million yuan of animal husbandry output value, accounting for 19.35%; 39100 yuan of fishery output value, accounting for 0.1%. In 2002, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 9.7148 million yuan, 7.98% lower than that of the previous year. The total grain output is 21200 tons.
geographical environment
At the junction of Longxing village and Kapu village, a large-scale karst cave with strange landscape was found in the township. Jingzhoubazi has flat terrain, clear water, beautiful trees, beautiful scenery and good rice quality. With the strengthening of forestry and ecological construction, 8070 Dendrocalamus latiflorus and 46800 Cunninghamia lanceolata are planted on both sides of the river, which greatly improves the tourism environment.
