Butou Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Babu District, Hezhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Babu District, bordering HUAIJI County, Guangdong Province in the East, Xindu town in the south, Shatou Town, Cangwu County, Wuzhou in the west, and Hejie town in the north. The people's government is stationed in Meihua village. The administrative area is 579 square kilometers.
Qing Dynasty, belongs to He county. In April 1989, the township was transformed into a town. By June 2020, Butou town has 16 administrative villages: Meihua village, Butou village, luanshui village, Meizhong village, Shanzhong village, Huangshi village, Baotang village, Dagui village, Xiangshi village, Sanhe Village, Datang Village, rongmu village, Gaodong village, Pingjing village, Yonghe village and Baohe village.
In 2017, the total investment in fixed assets of Butou town was 885 million yuan, and the revenue from finance and taxation was 28.62 million yuan, including 11.09 million yuan from national tax, 11.1 million yuan from local tax and 6.43 million yuan from financial department.

In August 1984, Butou commune was changed into Butou township.
