AHU Township, subordinate to Atushi City, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the northwest of Atushi city. It is adjacent to the red flag farm of the third agricultural division of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps in the East, the urban area of Atushi in the south, the town of upper Atushi in the west, and the township of tugumeiti in the north, with an administrative area of 609 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the population of the Huhu Township registered residence was 19723. As of October 2019, AHU rural area has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages.

History of construction
AHU Township originally belongs to Jiashi County, known as AHU village.
In 1938, it was set up by Atushi.
In 1943, it was Yongning Town of Atushi county.
In 1950, it was the Fourth District of Atushi county.
In 1955, the district was abolished and changed into a township directly under the county.
In September 1958, AHU commune was rebuilt.
In May 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.

AHU township is located in the south of bozitage mountain. The terrain is slightly higher in the north, lower in the south, higher in the East and lower in the west, with an average altitude of 1438m. The highest point is located in AHU reservoir, 1575 meters above sea level; the lowest point is located in tograk reservoir, 1400 meters above sea level.

AHU township has a temperate continental climate, which is characterized by four distinct seasons, long sunshine time, sufficient light and few rainfall. The annual average temperature is 12.9 ℃, the average temperature in January is - 6.3 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 27.4 ℃ (November 25, 1965); the average temperature in July is 26.7 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 39.4 ℃ (August 1, 1983). The annual average of frost free days is 183 days. The annual average precipitation is 78 mm. The annual variation of rainfall is large. The extreme annual maximum rainfall was 117.3 mm (2009). The rainfall is concentrated from May to September every year.
hydrology
The largest river in AHU township is Buguzi River, which flows from jinjinshan to Tuokayi reservoir from west to East, with a length of about 10 km. There are many springs in the upper reaches of the Buguzi River, and there are Intermountain basin regulation in the middle reaches. The groundwater recharge accounts for 77.6% of the annual runoff, and the mixed recharge of rain and snow accounts for 22.4%. Groundwater is the main source of recharge, and the annual variation of runoff is relatively balanced.
natural disaster
The main natural disaster in AHU township is flood. The most serious flood occurred on June 3, 2010. The 20 meter aqueduct and 200 meter anti-seepage canal in toglak village were destroyed by the flood, resulting in a direct economic loss of 1.455 million yuan.
