Lihe Township
Lihe township is an ethnic township with relatively concentrated Hui population in Huinong District, covering an area of 72.057 square kilometers, with a total population of 11182, of which 78% are Hui. The per capita cultivated land is 4.76 mu, which governs 7 administrative villages and 49 villager groups, with a total number of 2797 households. The total number of labor force aged 18-65 is 7094, with 19737 mu of registered cultivated land and 53000 mu of arable wasteland.
In December 2017, the State Commission for democracy and people's livelihood named the fifth batch of national demonstration areas for national unity and progress.
The origin of place names
Before the late Qing Dynasty, it was located in the south of jinlihe Township on the Bank of the Yellow River. It was sparsely populated and overgrown with weeds. It was very desolate. This place was especially known as the chenao pond because it was full of chenao. Later, it was called Lihe pond. Today, it is said to be Lihe.
Location traffic
Hongli highway, Shili highway, Libao highway, Huitao highway, Yanhuang highway and Honghe highway benefit seven administrative villages in the township. Yinhong highway with a length of 6.3 KM has been organized and implemented in the township, basically realizing the goal of asphalt roads for every village, forming a highway network extending in all directions.
economic development
Agricultural production: after the implementation of the first, second, third and fourth phases of comprehensive agricultural development projects, seven villages in the township have transformed 53000 mu of medium and low yield farmland, supporting zhidougou, Nongqu, bridge, culvert and channel mouth, 740 zhidounongou tailwater, 21 zhidougou and channel, 43.2km long, and 54 dry stone ditch, 14km long. Two Lihe pumping stations have been built with a total installed capacity of 605kw, covering an irrigation area of 55000 mu. In 2003, the total grain output reached 17.863 million kg and the agricultural output value reached 75.39 million yuan. On the basis of stabilizing the grain planting area, successive Township Party committees and governments have vigorously developed dehydrated vegetables, oil sunflower and other economic crops. As of 2004, the area of dehydrated vegetables in the township has reached 8000 mu, involving tomato, celery, carrot, green pepper, spinach, etc., which can basically meet the production of the existing six dehydrated vegetable factories, with oil sunflower area of 11500 Mu and forage area of 13000 mu. Multiple cropping has a large working area and many varieties, covering an area of 11708 mu, which provides rich forage for the development of animal husbandry. The proportion of grain, economy and feed in the whole Township reaches 65:30:5. in the aspect of animal husbandry, we focused on the development of high-yield sheep mainly with Small Tail Han sheep, improved local Tan sheep and increased lambing rate, improved local yellow cattle with Qinchuan cattle to improve meat production performance and paid attention to the introduction of high-yield cows. Up to now, there are 38700 sheep and 6050 cattle in the township, of which 723 are cows. The living conditions of the masses have been improved. Among the 2979 households in the township, 2523 houses with brick concrete and brick wood structure have been built, with a brick house rate of 90.2%. The transformation of the town centered on the township government has been basically completed. 700 meters of streets and roads in the township have been widened, and 294000 yuan has been invested to complete the upper and lower water supply and drainage projects. 177 commercial and residential buildings with 9612 square meters have been built along the streets by the way of national investment, individual investment and farmers' participation The network is all over the township, which greatly facilitates the production and life of the masses.
