Xiashuang Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the north of Liangzhou District, adjacent to Tengger Desert in the East, Daliu town and Fangfa town in the south, yangxiaba town in the West and jiudun town in the north. The administrative area is 34.37 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of households under the dual registered residence was 11783.
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "five Liang" period of the Sixteen Kingdoms, xiashuang town was divided into XiuTu county and guzang County of Wuwei County; in 1962, it was divided into xiashuang, jiudun and yangxiaba communes; in July 1983, xiashuang township was established; in September 2015, xiashuang township was withdrawn to build a town. As of June 2020, xiashuang town has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in xiashuang village.

History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "five Liang" period of the Sixteen States, xiashuang town belonged to XiuTu county and guzang County of Wuwei County.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong County of Wuwei County.
During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was returned to guzang county.
In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Liangzhou in the west of Yongchang Road.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was successively returned to liangzhouwei county and Wuwei County.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Baita Township of Wuwei County.
After September 1949, it belonged to Baita District.
In July 1952, it belongs to the fourth district (white tower).
In January 1956, it was called xiashuang township.
In October 1958, xiashuang, jiudun and yangxiaba townships merged to form xiashuang commune.
In 1962, it was divided into xiashuang, jiudun and yangxiaba communes.
In July 1983, xiashuang township was set up.
In September 2015, xiashuang township was built from township.
