Wang Xian town
Wangxian Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Baiyin District of Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the center of Baiyin District of Baiyin City, surrounded by Baiyin City. It is adjacent to Liuchuan township of Jingyuan County in the East, Silong town and qiangwan Township in the south, heishichuan township of Gaolan County in the West and Wuchuan Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 285.46 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Beishan township of Gaolan county was located in the middle of the territory, pingbao township of Jingyuan County was located in the East bounded by Dashagou; Baiyin District of Baiyin city was located in August 1985; and Wangxian town was located in February 2008. By the end of 2018, the population of Wang Xian town registered residence was 10753. In June 2020, Wangxian town governs 3 communities and 7 administrative villages.
The main food crops in Wangxian town are wheat and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep, cows and poultry. In 2018, there were 187 industrial enterprises in Wangxian Town, including 5 Enterprises above Designated Size and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Beishan township of Gaolan county was located in the middle of the territory, and pingbao township of Jingyuan County was located in the East with Dashagou as the boundary.
In October 1949, the West belonged to Beishan Township, Shidong District, Gaolan County; in December of the same year, the West belonged to Beishan District, Gaolan County, and the East belonged to Huangya Township, Beiwan District, Jingyuan County.
In 1953, due to the need of the construction of the "Baiyin factory" mining area, Baiyin township was added to the blacksmith area.
In 1957, Dongtai, wangjiaxian, Chuankou, Baiyin and Songliang were merged into Wangxian Township, belonging to Gaolan County; the hinterland of haojiachuan was separated into urban streets, belonging to Baiyin Preparatory Committee.
In 1958, the prefecture level Baiyin city was established, and Wangxian Township became one of the townships directly under it.
In 1959, it was changed into Wangxian commune and became one of the 14 communes directly under the central government of Baiyin City.
In November 1961, it belongs to the suburb of Baiyin City.
August 1963, belongs to Baiyin District of Lanzhou city.
After July 1964, Liuchuan and fanjiayao were assigned to Jingyuan County, while Songliang, Xigou, Chuankou and Hongfeng were assigned to Gaolan county.
In April 1983, it was restored to Wangxian township.
In August 1985, it belongs to Baiyin District of Baiyin City.
In October 2004, it was changed to Wangxian road street in Baiyin district.
In February 2008, it was changed to Wangxian town.
