LvHua town

LvHua town is located in the southwest of Chongming Island. It is adjacent to Sanxing town in the East, Yuejin farm in the north, Mingzhu lake, the largest natural freshwater lake on Chongming Island in the southeast, and the north and south branches of the Yangtze River in the South and West. It faces Changshu City and Haimen City in Jiangsu Province across the river. It is the watershed of the Yangtze River. LvHua town covers an area of 37.45 square kilometers, including 32000 mu of cultivated land, mainly planting oranges. It is the only town of oranges in Shanghai. The town center is located at 121 ° 15'e and 31 ° 43'n.

In 2014, the GDP was 320 million yuan, the fiscal revenue was 56.32 million yuan, and the disposable income of rural households was 16202 yuan. As of 2014, there were 7 administrative villages and 169 villagers' groups in the town, including 8606 registered residence and 1500 migrant population.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee reconfirmed Luhua town as a national health township.

History of construction

LvHua town was called "mouse sand" before it was reclaimed in 1971.

In November 1971, the land was reclaimed and a new sideline farm was established in Chongming County.

In October 1980, it was renamed "Chongming County LvHua agriculture, industry and Commerce United Company".

In March 1984, "Luhua Township, Chongming County" was established.

In February 1995, the township was removed to build a town, and the LvHua town of Chongming County was established to implement the system of town governing village.

Yellow soil: mainly distributed in 11 villages (farms) including Jiansan, Haiqiao, Jiangkou, Chengbei, Jianzha, Baozhen, Jianmin, Jiantong, Jiancheng and improved variety farm (now South farm of cooperative farm), with a total area of 3043 mu, accounting for 8.74% of the total cultivated land. Among them, Jianzha village is the most, with 729.1 mu, accounting for 40.62% of the total cultivated land.

2. Sand: including sand yellow and sand yellow. It is widely distributed and covers the largest area. 9 mu, accounting for 83.7% of the total cultivated land. 4. Forest soil (bamboo forest soil): a total of 247 mu, accounting for 0.71% of the total cultivated land, mainly scattered in some villages of Henghe bamboo belt.

Transportation

The traffic infrastructure of LvHua town is relatively perfect, with 153 kilometers of roads connecting every village. There is a simple ferry terminal connecting Haimen city.
