Tiebian town
Tiebian town belongs to Wuqi County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northwest of Wuqi County. It is connected with Wuqi street in the East, Miaogou Township in the south, Baima Yaoxian Township in Dingbian County of Yulin City in the West and xin'anbian town in Dingbian County in the north. The largest distance from east to west is 26 kilometers, and the largest distance from north to south is 33 kilometers, with a total area of 796.30 square kilometers.
Tiebian town is a Provincial Education Town, an ecological town and a municipal key town.
As of June 2020, tiebian town has 17 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of iron border town was 19142. In 2011, the total financial revenue of tiebian town was 44.09 million yuan, the total agricultural output value was 40.9 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 5960 yuan.
Historical evolution
In Ming Dynasty, tiebianshan was named after tiebianshan.
The Western Han Dynasty was governed by guide county.
Sui Daye first year (605), because of Luoshui out of this, changed to Luoyuan county.
Tang and Five Dynasties.
In the third year of Jiayou in the Northern Song Dynasty (1058), the Xixia built a border city here, and then set up a border army.
In 1146, it was reduced to Dingbian village. It was renamed Tiebiancheng in Ming Dynasty.
In May 1936, tiebian county was established in Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Province.
In October 1937, tiebian city was set up.
In June 1952, the township was set up.
In 1958, Tiebiancheng commune was established.
In 1984, it was changed into a town.
In 2011, wangwazi township was abolished and merged into tiebian town.

As of June 2020, tiebian town has 17 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in Tiebiancheng village.

Tiebiancheng site
Tiebiancheng is an ancient city. It is said that the name of Tiebiancheng is derived from the garrison of Helian iron, Princess of the great Xia state. The town has preserved the Queen's tomb, ancient city wall, xiaochangtan, dianjiangtai, yingpanyuan and other sites, which has high archaeological value and rich tourism development resources.
On October 18, 1935, Mao Zedong led the Central Red Army to spend the night in zhangwanzi village, the tiebian city. The next day, they arrived at Wuqi street, ending the 25000 Li Long March. In the town, zhangwanzi had a well guaranteed former residence of Chairman Mao.
On May 3, 2013, Tiebiancheng site was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
