Batan is a national key town, a key town in Jiangsu Province, and a national health town. Batan town was built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. After hundreds of years of development, Batan is the distribution center of two markets in Seven Coastal townships. Yinbatan is one of the famous towns in Jiangsu Province. The total area of the town is 111.85 square kilometers (2017), with a population of 72000 people (2017), under the jurisdiction of 22 villages (residents), 144 villager groups. The town covers an area of 5.5 square kilometers, with a population of 45000 and more than 5000 industrial workers. It's 20 minutes' drive from the county town in the west, the coastal port in the East and the coastal industrial park in the north. It is not only a node town between Binhai County and port, but also an ideal industrial supporting area and living service area for port and coastal industrial park. administrative division

Batan town was built in October 1954 in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. Mitan district was divided into five districts: Wuxun, Batan and dongkan. In February 1956, Binhuai district was merged into Batan district. In 1975, Batan commune was divided into Batan commune and Xingang commune. In 1984, Batan township of Binhai County was abolished and changed into Batan town. In 2001, according to the spirit of No.114 document of yanzhengfa issued by Yancheng Municipal People's government, Binhai County adjusted some towns Administrative division: abolish Xingang Township, merge its original jurisdiction into Batan Town, implement the system of town governing village, and the town people's government is stationed in Laojie. Tourist attractions

Batan town is a market town with a glorious tradition, engraved with the footprints of the older generation of revolutionaries such as Huang Kecheng, Zhang Aiping and Hong Xuezhi. The famous battle of Wangqiao shows that the people of Batan are not afraid of violence, and together with the soldiers of the New Fourth Army, they beat the Japanese aggressors and recover their homeland. On March 30, 1943, 48 officers and men died in the battle of Wangqiao. The local government built the martyrs' cemetery in Wangqiao for the sake of the martyrs' meritorious service. in front of the martyr's tomb stands a tombstone, 170 cm long and 45 cm wide, engraved with the names of 48 martyrs including Wang Guanghan. In the middle of the cemetery, there is a memorial tower, 16 meters high, of rectangular brick structure. In 1987, it was rebuilt as a monument with reinforced concrete structure. The stele is shaped like a triangular bayonet, with a height of 18.5 meters. On three sides, there are the words "monument to the battle martyrs of Wangqiao".

Wuminjiang: the natural treasure of Batan is rich in natural resources, which nourishes wuminjiang, a wonderful flower in the famous wine garden. Wuminjiang liquor was once famous both inside and outside the province for its "Ten Mile fragrance at the beginning of the jar and three drunk next door".
