Qingchengzi town, belonging to Fengcheng City, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northwest of Fengcheng City. It is connected with simenzi town in the East, Jiguanshan town and Tanggou Township in Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County of Anshan City in the south, shimiaozi town in Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County of Anshan City in the west, Shuiquan Manchu Township in Liaoyang County of Liaoyang City and LIANSHANGUAN town in Benxi Manchu Autonomous County of Benxi City in the north, with an administrative area of 237 08 square kilometers.
In July 1919, Qingchengzi village was established; in March 1969, Qingchengzi town was incorporated into Qingchengzi commune; in January 1979, Qingchengzi commune and Qingchengzi town were established. On August 23, 1988, the organizational system of Qingchengzi township (the former Qingchengzi commune) was abolished, and the villages under the jurisdiction of the former Qingchengzi Township were transferred to Qingchengzi town. By the end of 2018, 28697 people had registered residence in Qingcheng town. As of June 2020, Qingchengzi town has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 7 administrative villages.

History of construction
In July 1919, Qingchengzi village was established.
In October 1931, the Japanese Army established two villages, Taoyuan and shimiaozi, under the jurisdiction of Qingchengzi town.
In December 1945, the Communist Party of China established Qingcheng County, stationed in Qingchengzi street, changed Taoyuan District and shimiaozi District, and governed Qingchengzi town.
From October 1946 to June 1947, the Kuomintang troops moved in and set up Taoyuan Township and shimiaozi Township in Fengcheng county.
In March 1950, Qingchengzi village and Jinjin Village (formerly known as Huanggou Village) in shimiaozi District of Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County were assigned to Taoyuan District.
In 1951, twelve districts (Taoyuan) and twenty-three districts (wanlianghe) were abolished, and six districts were established. Qingchengzi town belongs to Taoyuan and wanlianghe districts.
In July 1955, Qingchengzi street was separated from the six districts and Qingchengzi town was established.
In 1956, the six districts were merged into tongyuanpu District, and Yongsheng, Taoyuan and Baiyun townships were set up based on the original six districts.
In September 1958, Qingchengzi town, Taoyuan Township and simenzi Township were abolished and simenzi commune was established.
In July 1961, eight production brigades including Baiyun, Yunshan, Yongsheng, Minzhu, Taoyuan, Qingchengzi, horticulture and Shengli were set up from simenzi commune.
In May 1962, Qingchengzi street and horticultural brigade, which belong to Qingchengzi commune, were set up as Qingchengzi town.
In March 1969, Qingchengzi town was incorporated into Qingchengzi commune.
In January 1979, Qingchengzi commune and Qingchengzi town were established.
On August 23, 1988, the organizational system of Qingchengzi township (the former Qingchengzi commune) was abolished, and the villages under the jurisdiction of the former Qingchengzi Township were transferred to Qingchengzi town.
