Two of them were on the slope, and the village was in the lower part of Sichuan, so it was named Xiahan village. After the liberation of Hunyuan County in 1945, there were Mazhuang, huatuan, Shenxi and other townships in the current commune area. In 1958, the people's commune was divided into three communes: Chengguan, Xiliu and caicun. In 1961, Xiahan village people's commune was established. In 1984, Xiahan village people's commune was changed into Xiahan Village Township, with nine administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
