Dongcheng Street

Dongcheng Street, located in the northeast of Longyan central city, is the seat of Xinluo District government. In 1982, the town was changed to the streets by Chengguan town. The area was 11.8 square kilometers, with 11 communities under it (3 villages in the neighborhood, 8 in the pure community), 43797 of the registered residence population and 35186 of the permanent population.

Historical evolution

In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Tieshi township. From the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, they were zhouqianfang and pingzhaifang. From July 1929 to November 24 of the following year, and from April 10 to October 17 of the 21st year, it belonged to the third township (now East Street) and the fourth township (now Shexing, Dongxin and donggongxia) of the Soviet government in the urban area. In the 22nd year of the Republic of China, it belonged to the equal Township and cooperative Township in Xinluo District, and the next year it belonged to the first district. In March of the 26th year of the Republic of China, it was part of the equal and cooperative rural joint insurance in the first district. In the 28th year of the Republic of China, the township of equality was renamed pingtie township. In December of the 30 th year of the Republic of China, it governed Xuexiang, Jianguo, shuimenbao and dongma, Shexue, Dongxing, Zhongxin and dongguanbao in Hezuo town. After 33 years of the Republic of China, Xuexiang, Jianguo, Shexing, Zhongxing and Dongguan (donggongxia) Bao belonged to Xinluo town. In November 1949, it was Zhouqian Village (later changed to Zhouan Village) and Dongxin and Shexing villages attached to the urban area. In October 1951, it belonged to the first district (attached to the city). Zhouan village was changed into Dongmin street, and Shexing and Dongxin villages were changed into townships. In December 1953, Dongmin street was merged into Chengguan town. In 1956, Shexing and Dongxin were merged into Chengguan town. In 1958, it belonged to Chengguan commune, with jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees and three production brigades, namely Dongjie, Dongxin and Shexing. In 1961, donggongxia brigade was set up from Dongxin, and in 1965, donggongxia brigade was merged into Dongxin brigade. In 1979, it belonged to Chengguan Town, with jurisdiction over Dongjie, Chengdong neighborhood committee and Dongjie, Shexing, Dongxin production brigade. In 1982, Dongjie sub district office was set up, under the jurisdiction of Honglong, Shuangjing, Songtao, Dongmen, Dongfeng, Dongbao, Pingzhai neighborhood committee, Dongjie, Shexing, Dongxin brigade. In 1987, it covers an area of 15.99 square kilometers and has a total population of 24495, including 18020 non-agricultural people. It has jurisdiction over 8 neighborhood committees and 4 villages (donggongxia village is added). The office is located at the east end of Heping Road. In 1997, with an area of 16 square kilometers and a population of 33000, it has jurisdiction over 12 neighborhood committees including Shuangjing, Honglong, Dongjie, Songtao, Beiyuan, Dongfeng, Dongmen, Dongbao, Shexing, Pingzhai, Dongxin and donggongxia. Longfeng neighborhood committee was established in 1998.
