Chachuan town

Qiachuan town belongs to Heyang County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the east of Heyang County, on the Bank of the Yellow River, adjacent to the Yellow River in the East, Heichi town in the south, Xinchi town in the West and Yifang town in the north. The total area is 125 square kilometers.

Qiachuan has a profound cultural heritage and is known as "Youshen country" in history. King Wen of the Western Zhou Dynasty and the girl Taisi of Qiachuan deduced a perfect love story. The first piece of Guanju in the book of songs originated from Qiachuan. It is known as the hometown of Chinese book of songs culture and the birthplace of Chinese love poetry.

Historical evolution

The town is named for its location in Qiashui and the Yellow River channel.

In the Shang and Zhou dynasties, it was the ancient city of Youshen.

During the Warring States period, general Wu Qi of the state of Wei built Heyang city in the north of Heshui.

In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Dongwang management area of Fangzhen commune.

In 1961, Dongwang commune was established when the administrative division was adjusted.

In 1997, it was renamed Qiachuan town.

Qiachuan scenic spot in Heyang is a national AAAA scenic spot. Located on the Bank of the Yellow River, Qiachuan is the largest Hot Spring Lake Wetland in China, a national scenic spot, a national AAAA scenic spot and a national water conservancy scenic spot. Qiachuan scenic spots include maiden spring, Fushan, Shenguo water city and xiayangkou.

In 1995, with the approval of Shaanxi provincial government, Qiachuan scenic spot was listed as a national key scenic spot in 2004, which can be called a unique scenic spot in China. The scenic spot is located on the West Bank of the Yellow River 20 kilometers east of the county seat, covering an area of 165 square kilometers.
