Cizao Town, located in the northwest of Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, China, is rich in porcelain clay resources. It got its name from firing ceramics. From the first year of the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Jin Dynasty, Cizao town began firing ceramics. Until the Song Dynasty, its ceramics were famous overseas. More than 1700 years ago. It is one of the birthplaces of Chinese ceramics. On June 18, 2000, Cizao town was awarded the title of "important ceramic town of China" by China Building and Sanitary Ceramics Association.

The main industry is building ceramics, which is one of the five major building ceramics production bases and the national building ceramics market. The ceramic production of Cizao has a long history. More than 20 ancient kiln sites of the Southern Dynasties, Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty have been found, which are listed as key cultural relics protection units of the province. There are also historic sites such as Yu Dayou's mausoleum.
