Hongjia town
Hongjia Town, belonging to Changwu County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northwest of the county. It connects Dingjia town in the East and south, Dizhang town in the northeast, and Yaodian town in Jingchuan County, Gansu Province in the West and North. The total area is 73.62 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Hongjia town has 21 administrative villages. As of 2018, Hong Jia town had 24152 registered residence population. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Hongjia town reached 98 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 10 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 58.42 million yuan.
Historical evolution
The residence of the town people's government was named after the majority of people surnamed Hong in Ming Dynasty.
In ancient times, it belonged to chendi.
The Qin and Han dynasties belong to Lugu county.
The Tang and Song dynasties belong to Yilu county.
After the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Changwu county.
The Republic of China belongs to Yilu township of Changwu county.
In 1950, it was changed into three districts of Changwu county.
In February 1956, Hong's hometown was changed.
In September 1958, Hongjia commune was established. In December of the same year, the organizational system of Changwu county was abolished and it was under the jurisdiction of Changwu commune.
In 1961, the system of Changwu county was restored.
In May 1984, Hongjia commune was changed into Hongjia hometown.
In 1998, the township was removed to build a town and renamed Hongjia town.

As of June 2020, Hongjia town has 21 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in Guanlu village.

Hongjia town is located in the gully region of Weibei Loess Plateau, low in Southeast and high in Northwest. The tableland is fragmented and the gullies crisscross. The highest point is located in Guanlu village, 1217 meters above sea level; the lowest point is located in Shangzhuang formation of Gaojiashan village.
