Anwu town
Anwu Town, belonging to Jingyang County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northeast of Jingyang County, bordering Luqiao town of Sanyuan County in the northeast, Yunyang town in the south, Kou Town in the West and Shiqiao Town of Chunhua County in the northwest. The maximum distance from east to west is 14.6 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 8.3 km, with a total area of 98.17 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
The name comes from the early Tang Dynasty. The surname Wu built a village in front of a temple, so it was named anwubao. Later, it was called anwubao by homonym. It got its name from anwubao village in its jurisdiction.
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Yunyang and Luqiao townships.
After 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of four or five districts.
In 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was established as Jianglu Township and Longquan Township.
In December 1958, it was the management area of Jianglu and Longquan in Yunyang commune.
In 1961, Jianglu and Longquan communes were established.
In May 1984, the township system was restored to Jianglu Township and Longquan Township.
In September 2011, Longquan Township and Jianglu Township were abolished and Anwu town was merged.
