Ma'an town
Ma'an Town, subordinate to Chongren County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southwest of Chongren County, covering an area of 129 square kilometers. It is bounded by Bashan town in the East, Jiaokeng town in Fengcheng City in the southwest, Gongxi town in Le'an County in the South and Baipi town in the North. Ma'an town governs 9 administrative villages, 1 community, 93 natural villages and 103 village groups. In late 2018, Ma Ma had a registered residence population of 21 thousand and 800.

Historical evolution
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the township was set up and subordinate to the Fifth District of Chongren County; in the 20th year of the Republic of China (1930), the township was subordinate to the Second District of Chongren County; in the 30th year of the Republic of China (1940), the township was abolished and subordinate to Chongren county.
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was Ma'an village in the Fifth District of Chongren county (Baipi District); in 1950, Ma'an village was changed into Ma'an township; in 1956, Tangxi township was merged into Ma'an township; in October 1958, it belonged to Tangxi commune; in 1963, Tangxi commune was renamed Ma'an commune; in 1964, Tangxi commune, Baipi commune and Xiefang commune were merged into Ma'an commune; in 1972, Baipi commune was set aside; in 1984, Tangxi commune was renamed Ma'an commune In 2001, Ma'an commune was changed into Ma'an township; in December 2001, Ma'an township was changed into Ma'an town.

The origin of place names
It is said that in ancient times, there was a businessman who died of a serious illness on horseback. The saddle fell on the flat, so it was named.
