Furen town
Furen Town, subordinate to Zhouzhi County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northeast of Zhouzhi County, between Heihe River and Weihe River. It is bordered by Erqu street in the west, Shangcun town in the East, Zhongnan town and Sizhu town in the south across the Heihe River, and Xianyang City, Xingping City and Wugong County in the north across the Weihe River, with a total area of 65.84 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Furen town has 16 villages (residences), including 1 community and 15 administrative villages. In 2018, the registered residence population of Fu Ren town was 47508. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Furen town reached 150 million yuan, with 27 industrial enterprises.
Historical evolution
The origin of place names
It got its name from "Fu Ren Fang", which means "prosperity, harmony, benevolence and righteousness".
History of construction
During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, the people of Xingping and Wugong migrated to the north of the Weihe River one after another to reclaim wasteland and cultivate land, thus becoming villages, which has a history of 200 years.
After 1949, the eastern part belonged to Xingping county and the western part to Wugong County.
In September 1958, Zhou Zhi, a member of Xingping and Wugong, was under the Furen administration of Zhongnan commune.
In 1960, the local state-owned Furen horticultural farm was established.
In 1961, the horticultural farm was abolished and the Furen commune was established. The commune was stationed in the third team of Yongfeng.
In 1980, the residence of the commune was moved to Yongliu village.
In 1985, it was transformed into Furen township.
In October 2011, the township was removed to build a town.
In 2015, xinjiazhai town was abolished and merged into Furen town.

In 2015, xinjiazhai town was merged and 21 administrative villages including Fuxing, Furen, Xinnong, Jianxing, Yongliu, Yongfeng, Weifeng, Weixing, Hengzhou, Wuhe, Weiyou, shangsangao, xiasangao, Xinjian, Caijia, Jinjiazhuang, Dazhong, Dadong, Heping, Shahe, Gaomiao, etc. were administrated.
By the end of 2011, Furen town had 8 administrative villages, including Furen, Weixing, Weifeng, Yongfeng, Yongliu, Jianxing, Xinnong and Fuxing, with 72 villager groups and 33 natural villages.
