Longzi County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs townships, four village committees including Zhineng village, zhe village, daga village and Jiba village, and 12 natural villages.

It is located in the southeast of Longzi County, Shannan City, adjacent to Yumai Township in the East, Cuona County in the South (part of India controlled area), Jiayu Township in the West and sananqulin Township in the north, 72 kilometers away from the county.

It is a high mountain and gorge zone. It is distributed in strips along the flow direction of xiongqu river. The average altitude of the whole township is above 3100 meters. The annual average temperature is 10.3 ℃, the frost free period is 150 days, and the annual precipitation is 400mm.

The township covers an area of 990 square kilometers, with 645.3 mu of arable land, 54500 mu of grassland and 10800 mu of woodland (Natural Forest).

In June 2017, there were 145 households and 456 people in zhunba township.

In 2015, the per capita income of the township reached 8066.2 yuan, including 5475 yuan of cash income.

Before the peaceful liberation of Tibet, zhunba township was wangjiuxika. It is the place where the gaxia government exiles prisoners. After the peaceful liberation of Tibet, it was a township in Jiayu district. In 1960, it belonged to Jiayu district. in 1987, after the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, it became zhunba township. There is a 500 kW hydropower station. in 2015, zhunba Township implemented and completed 10 projects: turnover houses for township workers, three village garbage transfer pools, Zhineng village woodland irrigation project, Geba village livestock warm circle project, zhe village grazing point cable bridge, etc. in 2016, the construction of Geba village highway in zhunba township was started. The project is the passage from Geba village of Longzi county to Longzi County, with a total length of 15.08 km, a subgrade width of 4.5 m and a pavement width of 3.5 m. It is designed according to the standard of class IV Highway.

Culture and education

In 1974, zhunba Township began to set up a teaching center. in August 2005, there were 33 students in the teaching point of the township. Although the farthest village was five hours away from the teaching point, the enrollment rate of school-age children in the township reached 100%. There are more than 80 children in the township studying in Longzi County complete primary school. By may 2015, there was a teaching point in zhunba township.
