Chaba Township

Chaba township is a township under the jurisdiction of Renbu County, Xigaze City, Tibet. Chaba district was established in 1962, commune in 1968 and township in 1982. Located in the middle of the county, 14 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 460 square kilometers and has a population of 4200. It has jurisdiction over nine village committees, namely quhao, Jia, Jimi, Chaba, bang, Qing, wumi, Gangdun, Yula and guore. Agriculture is the main industry, supplemented by animal husbandry. The county is located in the valley of the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, with high mountains and deep valleys, undulating mountains, vertical and horizontal ditches and dense rivers. The terrain is high in Northeast and Southeast and low in Northwest. The average altitude of the whole county is about 3950 meters. The common natural disasters are storm, flood, debris flow, landslide, hail, drought, earthquake and so on. mineral resources include ferrochrome, lead, zinc, marble, jade, granite, etc. The main wild animals are leopard, cuanzi, otter, Bauhinia, wolf, fox, yellow sheep, etc. There are many kinds of wild plants, including wild walnut, seabuckthorn, Fritillaria, rhubarb, astragalus, Rhododendron. Renbu county is dominated by agricultural economy. Crop varieties are green tree, wheat, peas, rapeseed and vegetables. In recent years, animal husbandry has developed rapidly. the industry is dominated by national handicraft industry and processing industry of agricultural and livestock products. since 1980, we have successively set up collective jade processing plants, card cushion plants, grinding plants and oil pressing plants. Since 1960, the highway from the county seat to dazhuka has been built, with a total length of 30 km, and the highway to Jiangzi County, with a total length of 75 km. There are many famous and special products, among which Renbu jade products enjoy a high reputation and are well received by consumers. Card pad has a long history of exquisite production technology.
