Xuecheng town
Xuecheng town is located in the hinterland of mountains and valleys in the west of Sichuan Province. It is 179km away from Chengdu in the South and 23km away from the county government in the West. It is one of the four major towns in Lixian County. The town has 11 villages, 26 villager groups and 1 resident committee. The total area is 254.04 square kilometers and the total population is 4788 (2017).
On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Aba Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in 10 counties (cities), including malkang city (Chuanfu Civil Administration [2019] No. 22): muka township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Xuecheng Town, which was located at 208 Jiaochang street.
In April 2020, Xuecheng town was named as the advanced township of Sichuan Province in implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy in 2019. In 2021, it will be listed in the third batch of "the most beautiful ancient towns in Sichuan".
General situation
Xuecheng Town, located in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, is a mixed area of Qiang, Tibetan and Han people. Muka in the East, Puxi in the south, ganpu in the west, Xiameng and shangmeng in the north. It has 11 villages and a neighborhood committee. Xuecheng is an ancient city with a long history. It is an important frontier defense town and a place for prefectures and counties. Xuechengrong was built in the fourth year of kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (584), Xuecheng County in the second year of Zhenguan of Tang Dynasty (628), and Baoning County in Mengshu of Five Dynasties. In the sixth year of Gongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (1373), he went to Baoxian county with the word "Ning". It was called ningjiangmen in the East and Fuqiang in the West.
In the 17th year of Qianlong reign, Li Fan Zhili hall was set up and Bao county was withdrawn. In 1913, it was changed to Lifan County, and in 1946 it was changed to Xuecheng town.
Xuecheng is an ancient cultural town. Many historical sites, such as the Chibian tower, Jiangwei city and Red Army stone inscriptions, shine with the glory of the ancient city yesterday. In the territory, there are undulating mountains and ravines, forming rich natural landscapes such as mountains, canyons, flying streams and waterfalls.
In addition to corn, wheat, potato, highland barley and other food crops, the town also has vegetable crops such as Chinese cabbage, cabbage, tomato and sea pepper, and has formed economic crops with pepper, apple, French sweet cherry and sweet persimmon as the leading products.
In the vast mountains, there are deer, deer, monkey, antelope, fox, rock sheep and other national rare wild animals, as well as Fritillaria, Cordyceps and other wild Chinese medicinal materials. Shigangcai, fern moss, red fungus and other mountain wild vegetables are the green food that modern people dream of and have great development value. The territory is also rich in marble, quartz, crystal, bauxite and other mineral resources.
