Shaheyuan Street

Shaheyuan street is located at the north gate of Jinniu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, upstream of Fuhe River and source of Shahe River, adjacent to Chengdu North railway station, and at the junction of Xindu District, Chenghua District and Pixian County.

Shaheyuan street, covering an area of 16.43 square kilometers, governs 10 communities (9 agriculture related communities and 1 Xihua University community), with a permanent resident population of 123727 (2010).

Evolution of organizational system

The street, formerly known as dongzikou Township, was built in January 2004.

After the adjustment of the street organization in November 2007, according to the principle of "not breaking the village, not breaking the group" proposed by the district Party committee and the district government, the jurisdiction of the street was adjusted and expanded again. The area of the street increased from 13.54 square kilometers to 16.43 square kilometers, including 14.8 square kilometers of the jurisdiction area and 1.63 square kilometers of Xihua University. The street is located in the upper reaches of Fuhe River, at the junction of Jinquan street in the south, at the boundary of Fuhe River in the north and in the East The third ring road is bounded by Pixian County in the West. Because shaheyuan street is located at the source of Shahe River, it directly undertakes a large number of demolition and resettlement work in Jinniu section of Shahe River. By the end of 2003, the demolition of the area from Ping'an bridge to dongzikou sluice has been carried out. A total of 1394 households have been demolished within the red line of Shahe River regulation, with an area of 449300 square meters and a compensation amount of 343420000 yuan. At the same time, we should strengthen the pollution control of enterprises. The approval rate of new, reconstruction and expansion projects in the street has reached 100%. The existing old enterprises are required to carry out technical transformation to meet the emission standards of environmental protection. If they fail to meet the standards, they should be relocated within a time limit. The protection of drinking water sources in the upper reaches of the Fu River has been strengthened, and nearly 100 workshops and enterprises have moved, stopped or transferred to pollution sources such as waste gas, waste water and smoke.
