Historical evolution
Yongli was ruled by Songping chieftain in Ming Dynasty. In 1814, Yongli belonged to Ebian County. In the Republic of China, Yongli belonged to Shouyong township of Ebian County. Yongli township was set up in 1954 (named after the meaning of "forever auspicious and smooth"), which was transferred to Hanyuan County in 1956, the people's commune was established in 1958, and Yongli Yi township has been set up since 1985.
