Ganzi town
Ganzi town is the economic, logistics and transportation center in the north of Linshui county. It is located in the northwest of the county, adjacent to Long'an town in the East, Qianfeng District of Guang'an City in the west, Taihe Township in the north and Guanyinqiao town in the south. It covers an area of 50.19 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over two neighborhood committees. There are 11 administrative villages with a total population of 12813 (2017). The geographical coordinates are 107.46 'e and 30.38' n. Ganzi town is the north gate of Linshui County, 30 kilometers away from Dazhu County. National Highway 210 passes through the town, and the entrance and exit of Dazhu Chongqing Expressway make the traffic of Ganzi town very developed.
On December 11, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Guang'an City (cfzm [2019] No. 16): Long'an town was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Ganzi Town, and Ganzi Town People's government was stationed at No. 517, South Kangning street.
On May 26, 2020, Ganzi town was selected into the list of strong agricultural towns in 2020.
Basic information
Ganzi town is located on the national highway 210, with an entrance and exit on Dazhu Chongqing Expressway. It is 30 km away from Dazhu in the north, 127 km away from Dachuan, 23 km away from Linshui County in the South and 153 km away from Chongqing.
Historical evolution
During the reign of Emperor Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, it was changed into Ganzi Township in 1907, which was bounded by ShaBaGou and Dazhu in Jiezhong. Later, it merged with longan township to form Longgan township. In 1942, it was turned into Longgan township. It was liberated in December 1949. In September 1950, Baojia government of old towns was fully accepted. In 1958, Ganzi people's commune was established. In March 1969, Revolutionary Committee was established. In 1978, Ganzi commune was restored. In 1981, it was changed into Management Committee. In 1984, it was changed into township. In 1994, Ganzi town was established with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government.
