Historical evolution

Mingguang street was renamed from the original Zhaoxin Town, which was first called Mingguang town. Its predecessor was the merger of the original Mingguang Town, the original suburban township, bianzhuang Township and the original Mingdong township. In November 1932 (the 21st year of the Republic of China), Jiashan County was set up in Xuyi, Chuxian, Dingyuan and Lai'an. The county governs 5 districts, 32 boroughs, and 5 district offices. The town government was stationed in Mingguang. In 1997, Mingguang town (Chengnan Office) was renamed Zhaoxin town. Mingguang street is the birthplace of Zhu Yuanzhang.
