Zhangtiansi township is located in the central and southern part of Gongan County, adjacent to hudu River in the East, across from Zhakou and Ouchi towns, surrounded by youni Lake in the west, mengjiaxi town in the north and Ganjiachang Township in the south. The township is about 15 kilometers long from north to south, 12 kilometers wide from east to west, covering an area of 96 square kilometers.
Basic introduction
Zhangtiansi Township belongs to the hudu river system, a tributary of the Yangtze River. Historical evolution
Zhangtiansi Township, in 1461 A.D., belongs to Changle township. In the sixth year of the Republic of China (1917), it belonged to the Southeast Shangxiang and the southeast Xiaxiang. In 1946, after Mengxi district was established, it was one of the districts. In 1951, it was divided into five districts and nine districts. One part of Xiangbao Xingpian and Huchang Pian belonged to nine districts, and the rest belonged to five districts. In 1952, the Fifth District was renamed Mengxi District, and the ninth district was renamed Ganhe district.
