Xiaobao Tibetan and Yi township of Hanyuan County is located on the South Bank of the middle reaches of Dadu River, at the confluence of zaluo River and Dadu River, 26 kilometers southwest of Hanyuan County. Historical evolution
In ancient times, Xiaobao was the place where qiongdu was ruled by the state. During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Shibao village, Dashu Town, Yuexi County. In 1951, it belonged to zhixiaobao Township, Hanyuan County. In 1958, it established Xiaobao people's commune. In 1984, it restored the township. On October 19, 2000, it changed its name to Xiaobao Tibetan and Yi Township according to the document [2000] No. 11 of Sichuan Provincial People's government. The name of the township is derived from the fact that it used to be a place where the Tibetan people lived together and many stone fortresses were built.

Crops yield rice, wheat, corn, hongruo, potato, peanut, rape, tung oil tree, sericulture, angelica, Achyranthes bidentata, Gastrodia elata, apple, orange, peach, plum, etc. In 2001, the cultivated land area was 4972 mu, the total grain output was 1845 tons, and the per capita grain of farmers was 273 kg; the mulberry planting area was 2300 mu, the silkworm rearing area was 1548 pieces, the cocoon production area was 25 tons, and the output value was 350000 yuan; the afforestation area was 140 mu, and 45500 trees were planted sporadically. 85 high-quality meat rabbits and long hair rabbits were introduced and 152 were sold in that year. There are 6145 pigs in stock and 3810 out of stock, and 3785 sheep in stock. 11 dam roads, 39 kilometers, 200 meters of river dykes and 49 water diversion projects for human and livestock were renovated, which solved the problem of water diversion for 1924 people.

Historical site
In 1863, Shi Dakai, a famous general of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, led his troops to the West. Since then, they had no food to cross the river.
