Xinzhuang Town, belonging to Yushu City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the north of Yushu city. It borders Sihe town in the East, Chengfa Township in the south, Daling town across the river and Qingshan Township in the north. It is 38 kilometers away from Yushu City, covering an area of 186.15 square kilometers.
During the period of the Republic of China, Xinzhuang Town was located in Sihe District, Yushu county; in August 1993, Xinzhuang Town was replaced by Xinzhuang Town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xinzhuang Town was 41483. As of June 2020, Xinzhuang Town has one community and 13 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Xinzhuang Town is located in Dafang village.

History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Sihe three districts of Yushu county. During the Japanese puppet period, it belonged to Sihe police station. In 1948, it belonged to the 19th District of Daling.
In 1956, it belonged to Yaoxin, erdaogang, Yonghe and Balong.
In 1957, Yaoxin, erdaogang, Yonghe and Balong were merged into Xinzhuang township.
In 1959, Xinzhuang township was changed into Xinzhuang commune.
In 1983, Xinzhuang commune was changed into Xinzhuang township.
In August 1993, Xinzhuang township was replaced by Xinzhuang township.

History and culture
Zhao Xueguan, the teacher of emperor Jiaqing, moved from Guannei to beifangshen in guyushu and later to erdaogang, which is now Xinzhuang village. Zhao Xueguan thought it was a treasure land, so he settled there and named it "Xinzhuang". The name is still used in Xinzhuang Town.
