Yangtian Township
Yangtian Township, Gaoxian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province is located at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan on the Bank of Songjiang River, connecting Junlian and Yunnan in the South and Luochang in the north. It is 30 kilometers away from Gaoxian County, 15 kilometers away from Junlian County, and only 3 kilometers away from Sichuan Yunnan highway. Covering an area of 30.43 square kilometers, it governs 7 villages and 56 villager groups with a total population of 10452 (2017). The cultivated land area is 12464 mu, including 6280 mu of farmland and 6184 mu of soil. The landform is mainly hilly, with low mountains and flat land. With mild climate, abundant rainfall and long frost free period, it is a humid monsoon climate with four distinct seasons in the middle subtropics. It is suitable for the growth of various animals and plants. It is a specialty of Yangtian vermicelli.
On August 26, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some administrative regions in Yibin City, abolishing Yangtian Township and putting its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Luochang Town, where the people's government is stationed at No. 187 Jianshe Road.

Historical evolution
In the Qing Dynasty, it was the third highest in Suilai township of Gaoxian county. In 1929, yangzitian township was established. In the 24th year of the Republic of China, the joint insurance system was changed. Yangtian township was established in November of the Republic of China. In February 1951, it was divided into Yangtian Township and Gongping township. In February 1956, fair township was merged. In October 1958, it was transferred to Luochang commune. In October 1959, the zhiyangtian commune was set aside. In March 1978, it may be returned to Chen village commune. In April 1980, Yangtian commune was restored. In 1984, the township was changed. In September 1992, the district was removed and the township was built.

Yangtian vermicelli is a specialty of Yangtian Township, Gaoxian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. Gaoxian Yangtian vermicelli is made of natural high-quality sweet potato. It is made of 100% natural sweet potato starch by traditional hand. Yangtian vermicelli is a good raw material for hot pot, cold mix, fried flour, soup and braised pork.

Yangtian township is a typical agricultural township, known as "the land of fish and rice". It mainly produces rice, wheat, corn, tea, sericulture, vermicelli, bamboo, live pigs, etc. Huize reservoir provides abundant water for agricultural production in the township. In 2003, the city's largest base of improved tea seedlings, the county's largest production base of sweet potato vermicelli and an important production base of tea and sericulture were built. From 2002 to 2003, the total grain output was 6295 tons and 6310 tons respectively, the GDP was 22.44 million yuan and 21.69 million yuan respectively, the primary industry was 14.49 million yuan and 16.31 million yuan respectively, the fiscal revenue was 2.06 million yuan and 800000 yuan respectively, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2190 yuan and 2318 yuan respectively.

From 2002 to 2003, the total output value of township enterprises was 5.78 million yuan and 4.19 million yuan respectively. In 2003, the industrial output value was 5.12 million yuan. In 2004, the industrial output value was 10000 yuan.

Yangtian township has one middle school, one central primary school, one village primary school, four village primary schools, 1800 primary and secondary school students and 52 Teachers, all of which have been built into garden style schools. There are 1 hospital and health center, 4 doctors and 10 beds. There are two transmitting base stations of China Mobile and China Unicom, and a closed-circuit television network with optical fiber encryption has been built. The hydropower facilities are complete and have the conditions for investment and development.
