On May 18, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Leshan City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Ebian Yi Autonomous County and Mabian Yi Autonomous County (cfmc [2020] No. 3): repeal laoheba Township and pengba Township, and establish pengba Town, with former laoheba Township, shizhangkong village, Shuanghe village, Chacha village, Huibu village, Longqiao village, Dongsheng Village and pingpingxi village as the main towns The administrative area of village and Jinhua village is the administrative area of pengba town. The people's Government of pengba town is located at No. 388 Min'an street, Chacha village.

Evolution of organizational system

In 2020, laoheba Township and pengba township will be abolished, and pengba town will be established. The former laoheba Township and shizhangkong village, Shuanghe village, Chacha village, Huibu village, Longqiao village, Dongsheng Village, pingpingxi village and Jinhua village will be the administrative areas of pengba town.
