The highest mountain in the territory is Wanggong temple, with an altitude of 185 meters. There are more mountains and less land, with 20000 mu of arable land and 27000 mu of mountain farms.

It is said that Zhao Kuangyin, the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty, tied a horse to the ancient ginkgo tree in shanganlin, Baoshan Village.
During the Anti Japanese War, it was the revolutionary base in the east of Jinpu Road, where Liu Shaoqi and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation were active. In 1939, Liu Shaoqi, Secretary of the Central Plains Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, lived in the family of Sheng Duoxian, an old Chinese medicine in Shengying, Tashan village, and carried out revolutionary activities. Zhifan village was named in memory of Chen Zhifan and other revolutionary martyrs who were killed by the reactionary forces in the armed uprising of the reactionary landlords in Gaotang. Jingbo village is named in memory of Hou Jingbo, a revolutionary woman martyr who was killed by local bandits during the revolutionary war to open up a revolutionary base and do democratic work.

Characteristic agriculture is not only the pillar industry of the township, but also one of the main sources of farmers' income. Agricultural machinery is widely used. As of 2006, there are 11 large-scale tillers, 3 large-scale harvesters, and four-wheel tractors and walking tractors are the necessary production tools for farmers. There are 28 four-wheel tractors and 860 walking tractors in the township.
Animal Husbandry
Animal husbandry production is the main industry of the township, and also one of the sources of farmers' economic income. By 2006, the township had 10000 cattle and 11000 sheep, mainly distributed in Pengji village, Baolin village, Yuzhuang village and Doushan village.

In 1996, the 13 km asphalt road from Yangying to changshanzha road was constructed by means of state investment and local supporting measures. In 2003, the state invested in the reconstruction of the 13 km asphalt road from Yangying to changshanzha Road, widening the road surface.

Due to the constraints of terrain conditions, it has been difficult for the Dongshan and Xishan groups of Pengji village, Baolin village and Doushan village to use water for human and livestock. Since the 1980s, with the support of the relevant departments at a higher level, nine reservoirs have been built successively, basically solving the problem of water for human and livestock. According to the local rich mountain spring resources, the people of the township raised funds to construct simple water supply projects. More than 50 villagers in 9 villages, including Doushan, Jingbo, Tashan, Hongxing, Chenying, Baoshan and Gaoying, built water supply projects, benefiting hundreds of households and more than 6000 people. Since 2000, we have made full use of the funds of the Yangtze Huaihe River watershed project, built 4 dams, dug 31 ponds and drilled 65 wells by means of project investment and self financing, benefiting a population of 10000 people.
In 1992, with the support of the higher radio and television departments, the township TV relay station was established. FM broadcasting was opened in 1993. In 1995, the township government opened cable TV. The first batch of users were 110, and by 2005, 300, which radiated to the surrounding villages.

The construction of market towns has begun to take shape, covering an area of about one square kilometer. In the early 1980s, the construction of small market towns began to encourage farmers to work and do business in the towns.
