Guzhang town
Guzhang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xilin County, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Xilin County. It is connected with Bada town in the East, Guangnan County, Qiubei County and Shizong County in Yunnan Province in the South and West, and mabeng town in the north, with a total area of 649 square kilometers.
During the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1398), the Jia system was established, which was called Guzhang Jia and was subordinate to the Chief Secretary of Anlong. In 1984, it was changed into Guzhang town. By the end of 2019, Guzhang town has a total population of 35000, inhabiting six ethnic groups, including Zhuang, Han, Miao, Yao, Yi and Buyi. It has 19 administrative villages, 125 natural villages and 139 villager groups.
In 2016, the GDP of Guzhang town increased by 53.9%; the investment in fixed assets increased by 46.93%; the per capita net income of farmers increased by 47.2% (the per capita net income of farmers was 6500 yuan). In 2018, there were 17 industrial enterprises in Guzhang Town, including 2 above scale and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1398), the Jia system was established, which was called Guzhang Jia and was subordinate to the Chief Secretary of Anlong.
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), there were ancient barriers along the line, which belonged to Xilong Prefecture.
In 1929, it was called Guzhang Township and belonged to Xilong County; in 1935, it belonged to Xilin County.
In 1951, it was listed as the Tenth District of Longlin Autonomous County.
In 1958, it was called Qingshuijiang commune.
In 1963, it was called Guzhang commune.
In 1984, it was changed into Guzhang town.
In 1996, the village office was renamed the villagers' committee.
