Legend of seven Buddhas
The seven Buddhas were called dafotan in ancient times. It is said that in ancient times, Sakyamuni, the Buddha, brought his six disciples to Dongshi to preach the Scriptures. When he passed through this place, he felt sleepy and powerless. He saw a strange tree in the mountain. Its green leaves were lush, green and fragrant. He picked it and ate it. His mouth was full of body fluid and cool cloth. Also see the Gaogang gorge, cloud shrouded, light flow wonderful man, Buddha feel the landscape predestined relationship, click point, instant Yushu Qionghua all into tea, robust mountain, exotic fragrance, entrance Shengjin, Qi shuangshenqing, all disciples Zui look excited, struggling to East. Since then, the place name of seven Buddhas and tea began to appear. In the Tang Dynasty, the tea produced in this place was served to empress Zetian. The empress drank it. The tea sprouts were lifelike. In the upright cup, the tea sprouts were fresh, green and fragrant. The taste was fresh and refreshing, and the desire for immortality was intoxicating. She was very happy and especially loved. She was ordered to pay tribute every year. Since then, it has been widely said that "the Queen's favorite drink in her life is only seven Buddha tribute tea.". Therefore, a special tea official was set up in the seven Buddhas and a tribute tea garden was specially planted. The tribute tea garden remains.
History of tea culture
Seven Buddhas have a long history of tea production. According to historical records, as early as 1066 B.C., after King Wu of Zhou led eight small countries in the south to defeat Zhou, the Marquis of Ju state (Ju state, now Guangyuan area, the county is located in today's laozhaohua, known as jiamengguan) supplied the King Wu of Zhou with mulberry, silkworm, Dan, lacquer, tea, etc. produced locally. This is the earliest written record of tea as a tribute so far.
Xiuya brand qifogong tea series products are produced in Qifo Township, Qingchuan County, Guangyuan City, south of Qinling Mountains, near jiamengguan. According to the records of Huayang state written by Chang Xun in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, when King Wu conquered Zhou in 1066 BC, the monarch of Ju state (the city of Shu in Cuba is called jiamengguan) paid tribute to King Wu of Zhou with the local tea, which has a history of more than 3000 years. According to the Han annals mentioned by Yang Shen, a scholar of the Ming Dynasty in his research on the foreign nationalities in counties, it is said that "Jiameng, the name of Shu County, the sound of Meng Mang, the dialect, the people of Shu call Cha" Jiameng "and cover it with Cha's County." Using tea to name the county, we can see that the tea here is not only abundant, but also very good. "Jiameng county" is now in the area of Zhaohua Town, Central District of Guangyuan City. According to "Zhaohua county annals" and "Guangyuan resources survey report collection", in ancient times, there were only Qifo Township producing tea in this area, with more than 13000 wild ancient tea trees, and wild big tea trees can be seen everywhere.
The tribute tea that Marquis Ju presented to King Wu of Zhou was the tea from Qifo Township, Qingchuan County, Guangyuan City, which was later listed as emperor tribute tea for many times. "Seven Buddha tribute tea" has also spread all over the world over time and won great reputation in the future!
